That is why we’re sharing this list of helpful tips to keep in mind before you head off to your next flight.

The Jet Lag Diet

Jet lag occurs when the body’s circadian rhythms are out of sync with the environment. Often, we find ourselves out of sync with the time and space after a long flight. However, there are ways we can manage it. Avoid taking caffeine at least 3hrs before the flight and try to eat lightly during the flight. What size luggage to use

You can take a few mins to look up your airline’s luggage limits on size and weight. If you still haven’t purchased the luggage, it helps to know what sizes are allowed on board. However, most regular travel luggage comes in standard sizes, and you can’t go wrong that easily. Most domestic airlines publish checked baggage size limits as a single dimension: 62 linear inches total. International airlines vary slightly, but the 62-inch rule is the most common standard worldwide. Bags larger than 62 linear inches can still fly, but they may be subject to additional fees.

What to (& not to) put in your luggage

This greatly depends on your purpose of travel, the place, and the time. Winter travel along the northern hemisphere warrants warm clothes, and you will need to pack accordingly. However, since you will be wearing lots of layers, you can cut short on innerwear like tees and shorts. You will need to make room for essentials like a passport, at least 1 pair of shoes, medicines if any, and so on. But keep in mind, most places in the world do have an ample supply of daily household objects and groceries and consumables. So do not bother packing toothpaste, soap, or shampoo unless you are particular about your brand.

Tips to ensure you don’t lose track of your luggage

We’ve all had that frustrating moment when we arrive at our destination and notice our luggage is missing. Worse, there’s no way of tracking it down!

Losing your luggage on an international flight can be a nightmare. The sickening feeling of realizing you’re one of the unlucky few to have lost their belongings while waiting in line at baggage claim, or worse yet, discovering later that something is missing after arriving back home.

One way to avoid the inconvenience of lost luggage is to pack valuables and necessities in a carry-on bag. This ensures that you don’t risk losing essential items or getting stranded without clothes. Another helpful hack is to take pictures of your checked luggage before it gets loaded onto the plane. This way, even if it gets lost, you’ll have a visual depiction of what’s inside to help identify it. You can also paste different colored stickers on each side of your luggage, so they’re easily visible at the baggage claim.
